TWO SAAB Sonetts. #184 (Two Stroke) and #476 (V4)

The cars have been in my garage for too long! The two stroker has a rebuilt engine, and the pan is nearly rust-free (some surface scale). Original owners manual for Stroker is included! The V4 has a very rusty belly pan, but was running when parked. The Stroker needs the windshield and rear glass and some nuts and bolts from the V4 for restoration.Both cars are on good tires and roll easily. I have numerous pictures. The cars are located in Fairfax, VA. Asking price is $9500 for both cars and several extra transmissions. For further information please reply to:

1968 Sonnet V4 + 1974 Sonnet III - must take both.

1968 is still all original but needs full mechanical restore. Body has two minor damage areas, all glass and lights operable and intact; rear windshield has very minor delamination on p. side. Original soccer ball rims + spares. 1974 is still all original and needs full mechanical and some body restoration. Body has some damage at hood and front, all glass and lights operational and intact.

1969 Sonett V4

Gray. Needs floor panel patching but is very restorable.

Car has not been started or driven for five years and engine may also need some work. Interior is in good shape except for the headliner. All parts are intact and all glass, including the rear glass, is perfect. Pictures and more information available by e-mail. $2250.

1967 Saab Sonett model #97

My pet project must go, it's 85% complete all the hard stuff is done, this is the rare #212 Sonett two stroke, much of the work has been done, new floor, complete front end work wheel bearing caliper, brakes, boots ball joints, rocker panels, brake master, engine, and trans, clutch, radiator has been reconditioned, interior headliner seats done in blue with the Saab logo, painted white with 4 coats white base coat, and 3 clear coat, needs finish sanding and buffed, new tires, all glass is perfect as are the glass gaskets, wood dash complete, all under chassis has been coated with POR-15, as the interior floor, see www.donsvintagesaabs.shutterfly.com for more than 50 pictures, or call Don.

1969 Saab 96

1969 mod 96 Awesome daily driver. Everything has been replaced, including a rebuilt transmission, water pump, brakes, etc. Speedometer reads just under 13,000 as it received a new engine (and speedometer) a few years ago.

Only two owners and I’ve had it since 2007 (only selling it because of an expanding family). Clean inside, with some rust on the outside. Original rear seat and two vintage front SAAB seats. Manual 4 gear (in the tree). Was rear ended in the spring at the back/right (see photos). All work on this vehicle was done by J&B Imports in Orange, CA. They have been working on vintage SAABs for over 40 years and they are one of the best in the country. Put about $4500.00 into mechanics and its a nice running, peppy car.

1963 Saab 96

1963 Saab 96. Has 19000 original miles. Has been in my garage for 10 years.

Mostly ready for a paint job. Body is solid, no rust. Re-upholstered front seats.

New carpet in cabin and trunk. Headliner excellent. Rear bumper off because I was going to get it re-plated, but didn't.

Extra hood and bucket seat. Accidentally broke both tail lights. Drove it several times. Ran great.

1973 Saab model 96

I have owned this car for two years, I am the second owner, the first owner was a Saab dealer in New York, who tansfered ownership to his son in Vermont. This automobile has NO RUST ANYWHERE. I have had the car painted the original color, fender welting has been replaced, and have had the seats redone in as close to original as possible also a new (used) dash pad , engine runs excellent, transmission shift very well, with the freewheel also working, glass is excellent, all lens are excellent,it has fairly new whitewall tires, brakes are in very good condition, this is an excellent opportunity to own a classic Saab, drive it home.

Shelby Goldvane Alloy Wheels in Excellent Condition

Set of 4 includes 5 centers and 5 sets of lugs. Will fit 900 thru 87, all 99s and Sport/Monte four bolt with lug modification. Used only 3 summers. They have only had one set of tires on them and have been waxed every fall before storage. Two of these are like new, one has minor curb rash and one has two very minor dings on the lip area. No weights have been on the outer lip. The center caps look new but a couple have a few mounting fingers broken off. The lug nuts are bright silver and have been kept waxed. Included as a bonus is a like new set of Saab McGuard security lug nuts. Shipped in original boxes inside 2 outer boxes. Pick up in SW CT very welcome. There comes a time when the GOOD STUFF needs to be passed on to someone who will make good use of it. This is the case for me, regarding my fairly extensive assortment of Pro Rally Gear. I'm working on prices for the bits, which I MUCH prefer to sell as a PACKAGE to someone who has a serious interest in Vintage Rallying.

I used the gear [sort of in this order] in:
A hot rod Saab 96,
a very fast '69 Sonett,
an "Abarth-ized" '72 Fiat 128 SL Coupe,
a '73-74 Honda Civic,
and later, another Saab 96V4.
Last use was around 1980 and since then the bits have been mothballed and stored in my heated shop.

I'm working on pricing as this is being written.

Looking for a short windshield for my ’66 95:
I believe that any 2-stroke windshield would fit. Mine has delaminated after only 43 years. I understand that shipping is more of a problem for windshields than is availability, so I’m willing to drive some distance to pick it up: a 500 mile radius from Tucson would include San Diego, Los Angeles, Phoenix, maybe Albuquerque. 1963 Saab 96 Bullnose
-Just starting to return this car to somewhat presentable and driveable condition. Need rear bumper (or even just good outer sections) and at least one rear bumperette. Also, I have only one of the 13" trim strips that go on either side of the grille and could use 3 more. And the front motor mounts are "squishy" from oil contact.
